Raising Sporty Daughters

International Women's Day- Raising Sporty Daughters

By age 14, many girls are dropping out of sports at two times the rate of boys. At Olympia we believe that all Tamariki should have access to Gymnastics, teaching team work, a love of being active and so much more. As a club we aim to work with our Community to support young women to help them feel empowered through our sport.

Sport New Zealand ran an online webinar going in depth about how we can support young women to help them stay involved in the sport they love and be healthy doing it. This is a free webinar that has valuable information for parents, athletes and coaches and can be viewed here.
