Words from Marina Martin - Olympia's new leader

“I am British born, growing up in the County of Essex (which is East of London).  I have been a New Zealand resident for 4 years and have two children, a daughter 14 years of ages and son 12.  My son is joining the intermediate trampoline class at OGS this term and very much looking forward to it.

My interests include music and festivals, reading and cooking, my kitchen is my space to clear my head.  Whilst I am not particularly sporty but I do run a couple of times a week with my partner, who played men’s netball for Canterbury and New Zealand for many years.

I am having a great first week at Olympia Gymnastics Sports, all the staff have been very welcoming. It will be a change for everyone not having Kathryn around, I have big shoes to fill! However, I am a firm believer that people are an organisations greatest asset, the service you provide is very important, however it as only as good as people providing the service.

Please do say hello and introduce yourself to me if you see me, I am looking forward to getting to know all the staff, members and parents, and being part of the Olympia community.”

With kind regards,

Marina Martin
